HWSP370 New COVID-19 Childcare Payment Measures April 3, 2020

Dear Harmony Web Clients,

We have been instructed by DESE (The Department), “… software products must continue to assist services to meet their requirements of family assistance law and other relevant state and territory laws. This means keeping records of attendance, in and out times and all other requirements when operating a child care service.”

What the changes mean for services, with regards to payments and attendances:

-   We have received IT specifications to transact with the new Business Continuity Payments (BCP) system. This means when payments are made to your Service, we will receive these in the system. At this stage it looks like we will query the government’s new payment system every day.
-   Attendance and sign in/out will continue as it currently does. Entitlement statements are still a requirement.
-   FDC/IHC services. We have a lot of work to do in changing the business rules around distributing payments to your educators and their Payment Advices. Our team are working on options on how this can work.

There are some areas that are still unclear. We are waiting feedback from the Department for;
-   ACCS
-   ISS
-   Changes to Statement of Entitlements

In summary;
-   It is critical you get your attendances submitted by midnight this Sunday. If you don’t you will not receive your money.
-   Keep operating as usual next week, i.e. enrolments, attendances, sign in/out etc
